How to Use PaperLab

Step 1: Take Your Trades

First, go ahead and make your trades on your preferred platform (like Jupiter, Raydium, etc.). PaperLab doesn't connect to your wallet; it analyzes the results you provide.

Step 2: Record Your PNL (%)

After each trade, note down the percentage gain or loss. This is the most important piece of data for PaperLab.

Crucial: Use the percentage PNL of the trade itself (e.g., +50%, -20%), not the change in your overall portfolio balance. Use the percentage *before* accounting for fees - PaperLab will handle fee calculations based on your settings.

Step 3: Input Your Trades (Choose One Method)

You have two main ways to get your trade percentages into PaperLab:

Method A: Quick Upload (.txt File)

This is the fastest way if you just want a quick analysis.

  1. Create a plain text file (e.g., using Notepad) on your computer.
  2. Enter each trade's percentage PNL on a new line. Use a minus sign (-) for losses. The plus sign (+) for gains is optional. The % symbol is also optional but recommended for clarity when importing later.
  3. Example `trades.txt` format:
    150.5%
    -30%
    25
    -100%
    85.2%

  4. Go to the PaperLab Dashboard.
  5. Click the "Quick Upload (.txt)" button.
  6. Dashboard Quick Upload Button
  7. Select the `.txt` file you created.
  8. Your data will be loaded and analyzed instantly!

Method B: Manual Entry / Sessions

Use this method if you want to save different sets of trades (like different strategies or tokens) or prefer entering trades manually.

  1. Go to the PaperLab Dashboard.
  2. Click the "Manual Entry" button. This takes you to the Sessions page.
  3. Dashboard Manual Entry Button
  4. On the Sessions page, click "Create New Session".
  5. Sessions Page Create New Session Button
  6. Give your session a name (e.g., "My WIF Plays", "Low Float Strategy") and optionally a description. Click "Save Session".
  7. You'll see your new session card. Click the "Edit" button on that card.
  8. Session Card Edit Button
  9. You are now on the Edit Session page. Click "Add Trade" to manually enter the percentage PNL for each trade.
  10. Edit Session Add Trade Button and Inputs
  11. Alternatively, if you have a `.txt` file formatted as described in Method A *specifically for this session*, you can click "Import Trades" here.
  12. Once your trades are entered/imported for the session, click "Back to Sessions", then click the "Analyze" button on your session card.
  13. Session Card Analyze Button
  14. This will load the session's trades into the main dashboard for analysis.

Step 4: Set Your Parameters

On the main Dashboard, adjust the settings in the top bar:
